IHE-Europe European Affairs Committee recently undertook an Imaging Taskforce Survey to better understand how IHE Profiles are implemented in image sharing platforms throughout Europe.
It set out to uncover today’s gaps and needs in eHealth projects. Managers of eHealth projects were asked to describe their project, while vendors could describe their products and projects they had implemented.
From the users’ perspective several project categories were identified from local, regional and national levels. From the vendor side, IHE Profiles were listed by analysing their products’ integration statements.
16 questionnaires were collected from vendors and users. The results showed the diversity of image sharing platform architectures related to a broad range of use cases. The analysis considered the expected benefits and included a gap analysis based on results.
