IHE-Europe contributes to several EU projects by providing expertise for specifications and test methods for the validation process in the domain of eHealth interoperability.
European projects through the FP7 Programme (Research and Innovation), Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe are the main programmes launched by the European Commission to involve stakeholders in the development of new services in eGovernment and eHealth and to support the implementation of the Digital Agenda for Europe (DAE).
Interoperability is one of the main topics addressed by stakeholders and Member States to improve healthcare services for patients and citizens within and across countries (Directive 2011/24/EU on the application of patient’s rights in cross-border healthcare).
By developing interoperable solutions, the harmonisation of the European market will allow stakeholders a larger choice and better quality of healthcare ICT solutions that respond to their needs.
The following schematics shows all projects in which IHE-Europe is involved. It provides a short description and relevant information for each project.
